Meet Coffee!

Meet Coffee!

Coffee
Chihuahua
Male
2 years old
18 lbs.

Hey guys, anybody in the market for a good lap dog? I’m Coffee and laps are some of my favorite places to be.

Like any chihuahua, I have a lot of energy for playing and running, but mainly I love to be around and please my people. I’m not clingy though; I’ve even learned to play with my toys by myself. I can throw my own ball in the air. Isn’t that a cool trick?

I can be shy when I first meet people, but when I warm up to you (which doesn’t take long) I am a loving, goofy pup who just wants to make you happy. And if me curling up on your lap makes you happy, we’re in great shape. I am probably best suited to a house without cats or kids, but I get along fine with other dogs.

If a loving, happy little friend sounds like the right fit for you, email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and visit this information page: pawsco.org/adoptions.

Meet Darla!

Meet Darla!

Darla
Shar-Pei Mix
Female
4 years old
103 lbs.

Looking for the perfect buddy? You’ve found her! My name is Darla and I’ve been told I’m the package deal.

I don’t mean to talk myself up, I’m just confident that I would be a great fit with almost any family!  I’m a bit of a larger girl but don’t let that fool you; I’m a total love bug. Before coming to PawsCo I lived in a pretty energetic household with four children, a Chihuahua buddy, and some kitties. With all that prior experience I’ve learned to be respectful of the littles. I’m definitely a lover and I say the more the merrier!

I’m a pretty chill pup but I do have a few little spurts of energy. My foster family has been taking me on a few short walks a day and that’s been perfect. I love a good game of fetch but high energy just isn’t my thing; I’d much rather be snuggled up on the couch. I definitely don’t mind spending a Sunday in bed watching Netflix.

I’m a perfect lady in the home but I can be a bit protective of my family when I go on a walk. I just want to make sure any strangers approaching are A-OK! My foster family realizes this isn’t such a bad thing (everyone needs a friend to watch their back) but wants my new family to know. I have a loud bark and wouldn’t want to accidentally scare anyone.

If you’re looking for the perfect low-key addition to your family, or a new BFF that will always have your back, hit up my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org. You can also check out more about the adoption process on this information page pawsco.org/adoptions.

Meet Blondie!

Blondie
Domestic Short Hair
Female
11 years old
12 lbs.

Hey guys, I’m Blondie, and I’m on trying to find myself a new forever family. Do you think that could be you?

I used to have a forever family but my owner passed away, so now I’m back on the market. I’m a friendly girl who aims to please, but it’s probably best for me to have a home without dogs. I love new people though, so if you think you could find room in your life for a cuddle buddy, let’s meet up.

Rain
Domestic Short Hair

My name is Rain and I came to PawsCo to find a family of my own!

What makes up a kitten? Sugar and spice and everything nice? Well, yes, and lucky for you, I’ve got all of that and more! Like a lot of kittens, I can be feisty at times, but am also really good at napping. I love playing with toys, especially things that I can stalk or chase.

Meet Prince!

Meet Prince!

Prince
Domestic Short Hair
Male
1 year old
12 lbs.

My name is Prince and while my name is pretty royal, I myself and a chill guy who just wants to hang out and be loved on by my forever family.

My foster mom says I’m almost like a dog, that’s how easy going I am. I love people and am usually pretty cool with other cats and dogs too. I like to play and to nap like all cats, but I’m even friendlier and more laid-back than you can imagine.

Meet Lieutenant Dan!

Meet Lieutenant Dan!

Lieutenant Dan
Domestic Short Hair
Male
10 months
5 lbs. (and growing!)

Lieutenant Dan reporting for duty!

I’m a total lover with a ton of energy, so I’m equal parts adventurous and cuddly. One thing you should know about me though, is that I have some trouble with functionality in my back legs. My doctors aren’t really sure why, and they’re trying to find a fix for the problem, but it may never be fully corrected. I’ve adapted so that I still run around and play just fine though!

Chin scratches are my favorite things, and my foster mom says it’s the best when I curl up by her neck on the couch. I love to play with other cats and I like dogs too, and playing with all kinds of toys.

So if you’re think kind of person who can be a little bit more patient with a special needs kitty in return for all the fun and affection you could want, I’m ready to take command of your heart. Email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and visit this information page: pawsco/org/adoptions.

Meet Chopstix!

Meet Chopstix!

Chopstix
Chihuahua, tan
Male
5 years
10 lbs.

I’m Chopstix but you can call me Cutie Pie, if you want to. You also can call me Cuddle Bug or Love Bug or Sweetie if you want to. In fact, you could call me Walks Well on a Leash or Not a Barker, or even Well-behaved Dog who Doesn’t Need a Crate – though those are probably kind of too long.

I think, actually, that I would answer to just about any name that describes a calm dog who loves people, and other dogs, and doesn’t bark, and is super sweet and curious and friendly, and who sleeps nicely at the foot of a bed, and likes to be with his people, and really despises a crate.

Perfect? Sure, you can call me Perfect, if you want to. Mostly though, I’d really just like it, very much in fact, if you would call me Yours.

Meet Roger!

Meet Roger!

Roger
White German Shepherd/Husky Mix
Male
12 years old

Well, hello there. I’m Roger and I’m an old soul.

I may not see or hear as well as I used to, but I’m still observant and my life on the streets has made me grateful for the comforts of home. I would never snap and no one has heard me bark. I find the presence of other dogs pleasant (especially if they aren’t hyperactive) and have wonderful leash manners.

Now I’m hoping to find a forever home for my golden years. I won’t be a bother because I’m respectful and polite. I’ll let others go about their business while I find a nice place to nap. Basically I’m “low maintenance” and “mellow,” as the youngsters say. Plus, I hear it’s incredibly rewarding to give a senior dog like me the chance to feel comfortable and loved in our twilight years.

If you’re looking for a way to make a huge difference for a sweet old gentleman, please email my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or visit this information page to learn more: pawsco.org/adoptions. Thank you so much!

Meet Liz Lemondrop!

Meet Liz Lemondrop!

Liz Lemondrop
Domestic Short Hair Female
1 year old
6 lbs.

POW! My name is Liz Lemondrop and I’m here to hit you with a burst of personality. Other people might prefer something a little sweeter; like caramel or vanilla. Booooooring! If you’re looking for a little more zest, then I’m your girl. I’m here to bring 150 percent more flavor to your life!

I was originally found as a stray all the way out in Kansas, and once I made it to Colorado it was time to find a family, which I hope won’t be too hard because I’m SUPER social. I’m also pretty confident in how amazing I am. Trust me, shy is NOT a word in my vocabulary.

I love to play and watch the world through the window but let’s be honest; adventures are better with friends! I’m starting to settle in pretty nicely with my foster family but I’m still looking for MY family. I’m totally open to other kitty companions. I’m going to hiss at first but once I build that initial trust, I’m way more interested in kitty play time. I’m not a big fan of dogs yet. There’s a pretty chill dog in my current home and I’m warming up to him but I’m definitely only open to other mellow dogs (or better yet – no dogs!).

I also need a family a bit on the patient side. While I’m super social and confident, I also get overwhelmed very easily. The words I keep hearing are “over-stimulates easily”. When someone pets me and snuggles me a bit too beyond my preference, I just get so stimulated that the energy needs to come out and sometimes it’s not in the nicest way. My current family is helping me figure this out. I’ve made a lot of progress but I kind of need all the physical stuff to be on my terms. In fact, the role of goof ball or playmate may suit me better.

If you can’t wait to encounter my dynamic personality please email PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or visit this information page: pawsco.org/adoptions Let’s get this party started!

Meet Kingston!

Meet Kingston!

Kingston

American Bulldog

Male

3 years old

60 lbs.

Hi there! I’m Kingston and I’m looking for love. I’m one of the best cuddlers you’ll ever meet and I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can show my endless love and affection to my amazing forever person.

My foster mom said that I am SO sweet, affectionate, and loving! I love to follow her around the house like a little shadow and am eager to be pet or just hang out by her side. While I am a happy, loving guy once I’m comfortable with someone, I am pretty shy at first and can be really nervous with new people. Therefore, I’d do best in a quieter home where there aren’t a lot of visitors coming over and I can just enjoy being with my favorite human! I do great with other friendly dogs my size (I love to play!) but I do not do well with cats so I need to be in a cat-free home long-term. Also, because of my nervousness, I’m not the right match for a home with kids.

I’m having so much fun learning all about being a loved dog! My foster mom takes me on daily walks and I’m learning about being confident and enjoying this beautiful city. I also do wonderfully being left alone while my foster mom is at work (I have free roam of the house and I do great!) and I’m also completely potty trained.

If you’re in the market for a long-time loyal love, please let PawsCo know by emailing adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or visit this information page for details about our adoption process: pawsco.org/adoptions.

Meet Marley!

Meet Marley!

Marley
Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Male
5 years old
50 lbs.

Do you believe in love at first sight? I sure do! I love everyone at first sight. I mean everyone.

I’m Marley and I warm up to new people right away and melt their hearts instantly with my sweet, loving nature. I’m relaxed and love to cuddle, but I also have plenty of energy to play and run and fetch. Basically the best of both worlds!

I love meeting new friends, but sometimes I get a little too excited when I’m around other dogs, and I don’t really like cats very much. I think I’d like a forever home all to myself with my people to give me endless snuggles and treats!

So what do you think, are you up for some Marley-love at first sight? Email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and visit this information page: pawsco.org/adoptions.

Meet Elsa!

Meet Elsa!

Elsa
Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Female
3 years old
61 pounds

“Let it go, let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore…!” Pardon me while I sing my favorite tune from Frozen. My name is Elsa, and I was rescued by some nice people who found me partially frozen outside in the winter storms.

Luckily, I was brought into a warm home to regain my confidence in humans. It didn’t take long – you see, I have some magical powers. They include a love for every human I meet, a patience and kindness for all my dog friends, and I have this ability to transform hearts. Instead of freezing them, I melt them. It might be my sweet smile, or my gentle affection, or it could be my beautiful soul. Either way, I have won over so many hearts and I hope to do the same with you!

I am completely house trained, crate trained, and SO good on the leash. I enjoy long walks, and small bursts of energy, but my favorite past time is cuddling. I am a great travel companion, and I have a mellow, laid back demeanor.

I am so grateful for all the people who have shown me love along the way, but my journey hopes to continue in your home. Are you ready for love and affection? “Do you wanna build a snowman?”… sorry, there I go again! Email my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or visit the adoptions information page here pawsco.org/adoptions to learn more about me!

Meet Eloise!

Meet Eloise!

Eloise

Brown Tabby

Female

10 years old

9 lbs.

I was meowing with my foster mom about what I should be sure to tell you in this brief autobiography of mine, and she said I needed to be sure to let you know that I, Eloise, am awesome.

“Awesome?” I asked. “Really?” She said, “Yup.” She says that my funny way of begging for cheese, my big personality, my mellow nature, and my intense desire for human companionship combined with my unsurpassed ability to cuddle makes me awesome. Wow! That’s so nice!

She also says I should be sure to let you know that I am wiser than other cats, which is her nice way of saying that I’m older than most cats. I think she means that, as an older and wiser feline, I’d enjoy a more laid-back home where I can just enjoy my favorite humans and hang out in my favorite sunny spot in the home! I also live really well with other cat friends and even do well with calm dogs (energetic dogs make me feel nervous so I’m best with dogs that will co-exist with me rather than try to get me to play!) I take a little bit of time to get to know people but once you pass the Eloise Test, you are in! It has also been said that I’ve grown tired of doing my hair myself anymore, but I mean who doesn’t love a spa day?! Yay! Take me to the groomer instead!

I also need to share with you that I was recently diagnosed with cancer. The good news is that it seems to be a slow moving cancer but it is not curable. I’m not in pain and I still have so much love and affection to give to a forever family! I do need to be on two different medications (totaling $30/month) and visit the vet every 6 months for a routine check up and bloodwork. My PawsCo friends can get you up to speed on all that. They can also get us together for a meet and greet at your earliest convenience! Just drop a quick email to them at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this adoption application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication. I can’t wait to meet you!
