Meet Hank!

Meet Hank!

Hank

German Shepherd/Husky mix

Male

5 months

33 lbs. (and growing!)

Greetings to all my fellow residents of the great state of Colorado — my name is Hank. Given this time of year to celebrate all we are thankful for, I am just so grateful to be in a loving foster home and I just can’t WAIT to find an amazing forever family to call my very own.

At 4 months old, I was abandoned in a field along with my brothers and we had to fend for ourselves until a good samaritan found us and brought us to safety. Because of my tough start to life, I’m only now learning how amazing it is to be in a loving home. My foster mom says that I quickly caught on to all that love and am now a incredibly gentle, affectionate, and playful little guy. I am still very shy in new situations and when meeting new people so I need a family who understands that I just need that extra patience and confidence building overall. Once I’ve had a few days to warm up, I’m a total love!

I also just love the company of other dog friends! I have a blast playing and cuddling with the dogs in my foster home. I haven’t met any cat friends yet but I’m sure I can learn to be their friend if they are gentle and kind back to me! I love playing with my fun squeaky toys, am enjoying getting to know the world when I’m out on walks, and I am just so smart-my foster mom said I learned sit in just a few days!

Because I have gone through so much already in my life, I am pretty nervous being left alone right now. My foster parents are helping me adjust to kennel training and I’m feeling more comfortable every day but I need a family who can offer me a lot of patience and support as I continue to learn being left alone is an ok thing! I also would just thrive in a home where my person is home most of the time or can take me with them to work.

Could I be your best friend in life? If you think so, fill out a dog adoption application here: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/ and email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org to set-up meet and greet at PawsCo. I’ll be forever grateful!

Hey, I’m Bandit, and I’m here to steal your heart!

I’m an easy-going and playful pup who just brings so much joy to a loving home! I take a couple of minutes to warm up to new people but once I do, I am a total love with a fun and goofy personality! One of my favorite times of day is bedtime, when I run around in circles and then burrow in the fluffy blankets. Then I flip over for belly rubs and kisses. It’s just the cutest thing (so they say!)

When I’m not snuggling in for bedtime, you can find me hanging out with my foster mom around the house (I just love being her little shadow!) and playing with all my toys (my favorite are mini tennis balls. They’re so much fun!) I’m doing great with potty training and I also enjoy going for our daily walks.

I get along great with other animals and I currently live with a large dog and a cat in my foster home. I prefer calmer dogs overall as I’m just a little guy and need to make sure I can trust a canine buddy! I really like cats though, since they’re about my size. Especially if they like to cuddle with me!

So what do you think? Are you ready to let me make off with all your love? Email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application here: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/

Meet Joey!

Meet Joey!

Joey

Chihuahua

Male

1 year old

9 lbs.

Hi, I’m Joey! Do you know what a joey is? It’s a baby kangaroo, of course, and just like a joey, I like to jump!

Because my legs are so little, I’ve found that the quickest way to get places, whether it’s playing fetch or just running around the yard, is to jump. I take long hops, just like a joey would, and I get where I’m going so much faster. When I’m not hopping, though, I really love getting cuddles and belly rubs from humans, and of course treats are great too.

My foster brother is a little guy like me, so we spend a lot of time playing together. I like other dogs too, but I haven’t met any cats yet, or those little humans some people have.

Are you ready to take biggest hop of them all with me? Ask my friends at PawsCo for more information by emailing adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and filling out this adoption application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/.

Meet Grace!

Meet Grace!

Grace

American Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Female

7 years old

67 lbs.

Hi there esteemed, dog lovers! My name is Grace, and like a fine wine, I truly have only gotten better with age.

I am past all that chewing up the shoes, tinkling in the house, and needing constant attention years. I am in the prime of my life. I would never potty in the house- that is simply not ladylike. Don’t let my premature grays fool you, I still have lots of energy to play tug of war or jog with my humans, but I am also as happy as can be lounging on the couch or in my crate. I am really enjoying my retirement!

I was a full time mom for too many years- my previous owners overbred me to the point of exhaustion, but now I am loving the life of caring for my little foster brother Chihuahuas, and I also adore human children. I would prefer to live in a home with like minded animal friends – calm, cool and collected. Sometimes larger dogs intimidate me, if I am being honest.  Did I mention I am great on the leash and love to trot around town showing off my adorable little face?

Calm, friendly, mature AND loving. What more could you ask for?! If you think we’d be a great match email my friends at PawsCo: adopt@pawscoadoptions.com and fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/. I hope to meet you soon!

Meet Prince!

Meet Prince!

Prince

Boxer/Husky Mix

Male

5 months

32 lbs. (and growing!)

Have you ever met any royalty? I haven’t, but they tell me my name is Prince, so I’m learning how to ask like a royal.

I came from southern Colorado to find my forever family, and my foster mom and dad are doing a great job helping me grow up. I have a lot of puppy energy and love to play, but I also take those great puppy naps with my people when I’m done playing. I’m learning tricks too! I’ve already learned “sit” and I’m working on “shake” now.

Playing with other dogs is fun too, and while I’ve met some cats, I usually just do my own thing when I’m around one. I haven’t been around any kids yet, but my foster parents think I’d do just great with them. They say I’d be a great family dog, as long as I get a little bit of direction to help me keep growing up princely.

Ready to meet up and see if we’re a good fit? Email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/.

Meet Shea!

Meet Shea!

Shea

Shepherd Mix

Female

12 years old

45 lbs.

Oh hey, I’m Shea! So glad to meet you. I’m getting up there in years, it’s true, but I’m still looking for my forever family.

I came to Colorado from Texas after that big hurricane flooded so many homes, and now I’d like to find a new place to live where the ground is a little higher. I like to stay close to people, so I follow my foster family all over the house, and love it when they take me on walks. Since I am getting older though, my hearing and sight aren’t what they used to be, and I’ll need a family that can help me ease into old age.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a fun, spunky, independent dog who wants to love you and bring happy into your house. I’d probably be okay with older kids and dogs, as long as they aren’t too overbearing. I haven’t met any cats, but I have met these other bird things – I think my foster mom called them chickens – and they are okay by me.

So if you’re ready to say hey to Shea and let a little senior love into your life, let my friends at PawsCo know by reaching out to them at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this adoption application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/.

Meet Eleven!

Meet Eleven!

Eleven

Pit Bull Terrier Mix

Female

5 months

33 lbs. (and growing!)

Well hello there, I’m Eleven and I am one special pup. You might say that on a scale from one to 10, I’m, well, an 11.

If you get to know me, you’ll find out that I’m a total people pleaser. I love to make my humans happy! I came from Colorado’s Western Slope, but I’m so excited to find my forever family here at PawsCo so I can keep pleasing the same people forever, whether it’s by cuddling or playing.

I am energetic, like most puppies, so I like to run around and wrestle with other dogs once I get to know them. I like people too, even the little ones, and the one time I met one of those kitten things, I thought he was SUPER cool.

Guess what else? I’ve even learned a new trick since I got to my foster family. I learned how to sit, and I’m so ready to learn more tricks, because tricks come with treats!

So what do you think? Are you ready to let me love you? If so, email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this adoption application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/.

Meet Twister!

Meet Twister!

Twister

Domestic Short Hair

Male

7 months

5 lbs. (and growing!)

Hello there, I’m Twister, but I’m a lot more calm than my name would imply. I’m still a young cat and love to play, but snuggling is my favorite. Do you need a snuggle buddy?

When I was a bit younger, I had a bad accident and ended up with a broken jaw, so I sought help with a nearby good Samaritan. She got me to a vet and to PawsCo, and now I’m ready to find a family of my own. I have a bit of a snaggletooth now, but my foster family thinks it’s pretty cute, so I bet you will too.

I haven’t met any kids yet, but I love all people and am pretty laid back, so I bet I’d like kids if I met them. I also like dogs and would love to have a kitty friend to play with.

So if you are in the hunt for a snuggly, playful kitty with a distinctive look, email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application here: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication/.

Meet Huey!

Meet Huey!

Huey
Lhasa Apso/Poodle Mix
Male
3 years old
16 lbs.

Do you ever wish that dogs could talk? I can tell you, for sure, that I do too because there is so much I want to tell you!

For starters, I would tell you that I am a pretty cool dude. I am super sweet and cuddly, I am very well-behaved in the house and on walks (I mind all the rules), and I give THE BEST kisses.

I would also tell you that while I might appear shy around strangers, I’m really not. It’s more that I am just cautious and careful. I just need a relaxed introduction and a few minutes to myself to figure out new people. After that, any friend of yours is a friend of mine! And that includes your four-legged pals too!

Overall, I am just a mellow guy looking for a mellow person. If you are just as happy chilling on the couch as you are strolling through the park, then please fill out the adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/ and send an email to my PawsCo friends at adopt@pawcoadoptions.org so they can get us together!

I can’t promise that my mellowness will hold though once I meet you! I can’t wait!

Meet Snickers!

Meet Snickers!

Snickers

Domestic Short Hair

Female

1 year old

7 lbs.

Hmm? Oh, hello! I could barely hear you over my own purring. If you like to listen to a good kitty purr, I’m your girl, because I have the loudest purr.

I was relinquished by my previous owner, so I’m looking for a new family to make me so happy that I never want to stop purring. Aside from that purr, I’m a quiet, sweet little cat who likes to play and cuddle. I’m friendly with other cats, and while I haven’t met any dogs or kids yet, I bet I’d like them too.

If you think I sound like the kitty for you, please email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this application: https://pawsco.org/category/adoptable/cat/.

Meet Bubbie!

Meet Bubbie!

Bubbie
Domestic Short Hair
Male
5 years old
9 lbs.

Sweet. Low-key. Mellow. Respectful of personal space (I’d never lay on your face!)…do these sound like traits you want in your forever feline friend? Well here I am, come and get me.

I’m Bubbie and I am a quiet fellow with a perfect personality mix of friendly and confident but not demanding. It’s enough for me just to be in the same room together with you. I’m told my habit of kneading when I’m happy is especially adorable when I use all four paws at the same time. I have a sophisticated palate – shredded cheese is my favorite snack and I enjoy sipping on fresh water straight from the running faucet.

My foster home has a large well-behaved dog and I don’t mind him at all, so if you have your own respectful pooch or resident feline, I’d be OK with it. I did feel stressed when I tried living in a free-roaming cat adoption center. I just need to have my own space sometimes. I’d love nothing more than a quiet household where we can just bathe in each others’ presence and affection. If you have visitors I’ll be curious and friendly but a bit reserved when it comes to petting.

I lovvvve getting my head scratched but am not a fan of having my paws touched. It’s probably a result of the declawing that was done on me a long time ago. If you remember not to touch my paws I’d really appreciate it.

My foster people have noticed I have a keen interest in trying to go outside, so you’ll need to be careful about opening doors. I sure wouldn’t want to end up lost or endangered.

Well that’s about everything there is about me. Please contact adopt@pawscoadoptions.org to arrange a date after completing this application online https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication/

Meet Nalie!

Meet Nalie!

Nalie
American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Female
5 years old
70 lbs.

Are you looking for a new bestie? If so, I’m your girl! I just love being with “my person” and offer so much love and companionship. I enjoy ear scratches and belly rubs from my main squeeze but I’m also great at just hanging by your feet, playing with my toys and taking wonderful naps.

I’m always up for new adventures and enjoy going on walks, runs, hikes – anything that gets me outside in the fresh Colorado air. I’d prefer to be in a home where I’m the only pet, as I haven’t totally gotten the hang of making new dog friends. I don’t have much experience with kids, but I like people, and they’re just small people, right?

Once I’m settled into a new home, you’ll see my goofy side come out. I’m playful and love toys but also appreciate lazy afternoons. My foster says I’m a polite houseguest and am content hanging out in my crate. I promise that once you meet me, you’ll see what a special pup I am.

Kelpie Mix

Female

Hi there, I’m Abby, how are you? I’m enjoying my time relaxing with my new foster family after being removed from a tough situation where I wasn’t being cared for properly. My life since coming to PawsCo has been so much nicer.

I am a sweet girl who likes to cuddle and play, but I need some structure to make me feel safe enough to be myself. I get excited when my people come home, and will follow them around wagging my tail sometimes. I don’t get too clingy though, I know that everyone needs their space sometimes. I get along with other dogs and with cats, but I haven’t met any kids yet. I am usually friendly with new people, but I do need a little time to warm up. I like to play with toys and even know a few tricks.

So if you think you might be the new family for me to love, let my friends at PawsCo know by emailing adopt@pawscoadoptions.com and fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/. I hope to meet you soon!

Meet Blossom!

Meet Blossom!

Blossom

Long Hair Chihuahua/Terrier Mix

Female

3 years old
14 lbs.

Oh hi there, my name is Blossom and I’m looking for someone I can, well, blossom with!

I’ve had a bit of a journey in my short life so far! I came to PawsCo from Texas as one of those “Hurricane Harvey” dogs you might have heard about. Before coming to Colorado I spent most of my life in a shelter so I’m still getting used to my new digs. I’m just taking everything really slowly and making sure I feel totally comfortable before opening up. I promise I’m not playing hard to get, I just need to get to know you a bit before I’m ready to show you my goofy side.

The good news is that since moving to Colorado I’ve learned a lot of new things! I’m pretty proud of myself for officially being “potty trained.” I’m also learning a lot about the all the different types of friends you can make in this world. My foster family has introduced me to kitties (I love them – they’re just my size!) and a pretty mellow canine brother. I’d definitely enjoy another puppy friend, but right now some of the more pushy pups I’ve met on walks still intimidate me. I just prefer a calm buddy that lets me be me!

I’m also learning a lot about all the fun things to do in life. I absolutely love going for walks! I definitely feel most confident while cruising around the neighborhood and even feel good enough to show off my sassy prance sometimes. I am on my best behavior on the leash and I never pull.

I’m still feeling a little shy around people and being touched – it’s all just so new! My foster family has been really great about taking it slow and showing me that not all humans are bad. I’ve opened up so much already and am starting to learn that being pet or lying next to you on the couch can kinda be great! I already get so excited to see my foster family that I can’t help but spin around in circles, so deep down I know I’m going to find the perfect family that makes me feel safe and loved forever.

I’m ready to start blossoming into a spunky, sassy, playful girl, so if you think you’re ready to take the leap with me, just reach out to my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/ and let’s do it!

Meet Boo!

Meet Boo!

Boo
Cattle Dog/Boxer Mix
Male
2 years old
51 lbs.

Hey there! I’m Boo and I’d like to be your new best friend!

See, I’m one of those honest types. Like, super honest–almost like I don’t have a filter! For instance, I can’t play it cool–you’re probably noticing from my wagging tail that I’m eager to hang out! In fact, a snuggle on the couch would be just delightful!

I love playing outside with other dogs and then coming inside for a peaceful snooze. I’m pretty laid back and just want to chillax indoors. I’m house trained and know all of the classics like come, sit and stay. I’m totally trustworthy when it comes to leaving me home alone–no worries there!

I also love toys and I love going for fun hikes in the mountains! I have such a fun energy when I’m exploring new things!

I am working on my comfort with meeting new people right now as new people are a bit intimidating to me at the moment. I am totally content with the people I know and love but can feel defensive in general when I’m unsure of a new relationship. Therefore, I’d do best in a quieter home where I can just be happy with my humans and not need to meet tons of new people in general. And I also need to be in a home without children since I have shown to be nervous around young humans as well.

But you know what I’m not scared of? Lots of love and affection from an amazing family! I would make an incredibly loving companion for someone who understands my foibles and can help me feel safe. And I promise you that I will love you and treasure you every day forward if you are my forever person.

Will you please give me a new “leash” on life? All you have to do is email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Thank you so much!

Meet Boulder!

Meet Boulder!

Boulder

American Bulldog/Lab mix

Male

3 years old
45 lbs.

Hi there! My name is Boulder – pretty perfect for a Colorado pup, right? I cannot wait to find my forever family and start living life the way I’ve always dreamed about!

First thing you should know is that I’ve been told I’m somewhat of a gentleman. I’m smart and I always try to mind my manners. I am still learning a bit about what those manner things ARE, but rest assured, my heart is in the right place. I do know a whole bunch of commands already (sit, stay, lay, shake, go to bed, move, etc.) and I’m always looking for ways to please my people. I’m a quick study, so maybe we can keep adding to the list!

I wouldn’t say I’ve got a ton of puppy energy, but I certainly don’t mind some play time. One of my favorite things to do is chase after one of my squeaky toys and then keep the party going by tossing it in the air! I also love to go for walks and car rides. I am an excellent road dog. I’m still working on my leash manners, but my foster mom has a great harness that’s been teaching me to slow down a little and enjoy my walks even more! You gotta stop to smell the roses after all.

After all those fun activities, I think it’s time to cuddle! I absolutely love to cuddle up with my foster family. Family is very important to me and I tend to be a little protective. Once I get to know someone I can go back to being a snuggle monster, but I’m definitely a little curious around anyone new. I just love my people so much! I also like other dogs but I can be picky in choosing my dog friends, so if you’re a friendly pup we should meet each other first to see if it’s a match. I’d also be just fine as the only dog in your home!

If you’re looking for a new BFF then look no further and reach out to my friends at PawsCo today! You can reach them at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application. I mean look at my smile – how can you resist?
