Meet Chiavis!

Meet Chiavis!

Chiavis
Chihuahua Mix
Female
1 year
7 lbs.

Have you ever been just so dang excited, or maybe kinda nervous, that you piddle, just a little? Isn’t it just so embarrassing!?  I Googled it and it’s really no big deal though; I read that I should outgrow it before much longer. It’s kinda funny too because it never happens to me because of loud noises, like when the vacuum is running or when a loud truck rumbles by. It only seems to happen when someone moves too fast towards me. But, if they say “hello” nice and patient like, well then, no piddle! And man, once I know for sure that the someone is nice, my shyness is gone in a flash and I become one confident, calm and uber friendly cuddle bug!

I think it is because of my small stature. Everything is bigger than me! But being smallish defintely has some advantages: I can fly thru any doggie door, I like my crate because it is nice and spacious, and I can fit in any lap!

A little more about me: I like friendly dogs, I like nice kids and I don’t even mind cats. I love walking, I really love snuggling and I have a super happy dance that I will do every time you come home!

So, about that home of yours….Can’t you just see me in it? It’s pretty easy to make it happen. Just fill out this dog application https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application and then email it to my PawsCo pals at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org. That’ll get the ol’ tennis ball rolling!

I know what people say, but I swear it’s not true! I am actually really GOOD LUCK!

Don’t let this black cat exterior fool you. I’m a lover not a fighter! Well…except when it comes to my brother, King. He thinks he can rule over me. One has to defend oneself! Right?! It’s not my fault! I just want to play and love on life.

  • Playtime

Meet King!

Meet King!

King
Domestic Shorthair
Male

I am…the KING!  Or so I like to think.

I rule my kingdom with lots of adventure and playtime! My brother thinks he’s the ruler, but I show him! Don’t get me wrong, this is no Game of Thrones, I am a benevolent King. I am fair and loving to all my subjects, including the tiny hoomans (though, the large 4 legged drooling woofer, I’m still trying to figure out).

When you first come into my Kingdom I test you. First I watch carefully to see what you do and if you are friend or foe. Once I see you are not the enemy, I will always be there to welcome you to my Kingdom, showering you with greetings and purrs!!

I have big aspirations, and would love to conquer new worlds! I promise I will always be fair and loving ruler, as my current hoomans love me!

Meet Charlie!

Meet Charlie!

Charlie
Domestic Short Hair
Male
3 months old
2 lbs. (and growing!)

Hi there! The name’s Charlie, and people say I’m pretty cute! (I’d have to agree.) Everywhere I go someone’s picking me up and cuddling me, while showering me with endless kisses. People just can’t help themselves when they see just how adorable I am, and I actually find it pretty entertaining to watch the humans start giggling and smiling and making the most high-pitch “awwwww” sound anytime I do anything. And I mean anything. I can take one minuscule step, and the humans just can’t help themselves! But like I said, it’s fine with me, and I’ve gotta say, I kinda like all this attention I get!

I’ve got a pretty good setup at my foster-home, but now I’m looking for one of those forever homes I hear so much about! You know, the place where you get to wake up each morning with your favorite humans, and then spend all day playing, eating and snoozing! Then you fall asleep together, and wake up and do it all again! Sounds pretty perfect if you ask me!

So you want to know a little bit about me? Well, I’m everything a kitten should be, cuddly, brave, adventurous, and ferocious when given a kitty toy! Sure, sometimes all that playing wears me out, but after a quick snooze, I’m back in the game!

I can’t wait to meet my forever family who’s committed to raising me and loving me forever and ever! We’ll be the best of friends, and I promise you can say “awwww” as much as you want! If you’d like to meet me, just send an email to adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application here: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication/!

Meet Hiro!

Meet Hiro!

Hiro
Lab/Greyhound Mix
Male
2 years old
64 lbs.

Yippee! A new friend! I’m Hiro, and I absolutely LOVE meeting new people!

Like my celebrity role model Hugh Jackman, I’m a bit of a people pleaser. I’m super friendly and love everyone! At the dog park, I love greeting people and playing with the other dogs. I zoom around showcasing my graceful running style – I’d run all day if you let me! I’ll even sing and dance if the mood strikes!

Like Hugh said, “If you love something, you don’t just read about it; you hug it, you mess with it, you play with it.” I’m smart and inquisitive, so I want to enjoy the heck out of life! It’s so fun to chase birds and squirrels, or goof around with toys. Toys! What’s not to love about toys? And snacks! What’s not to love about snacks? There are so many things that make me burst with joy!

So yep, I have too much energy to be a couch dog. I’d love to find someone who wants to live life to the fullest with me! We could go hiking, biking, train for marathons–I’ll be the best adventure buddy you could hope for! We could even compete in canine agility events if that sounds fun. Think of all the new friends we’ll make together. After a day well spent, I’ll be your snuggle pal who might just try to sit in your lap. Cuddling makes me super happy, too!

Can you please email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/? I will jump for joy!

Meet Princess Caroline!

Meet Princess Caroline!

Princess Caroline
Domestic Shorthair
Female
3 months
2 lbs (and growing!)

My name is Princess Caroline and I came to PawsCo with my siblings, but I can’t wait to find a family of my own!

What makes up a kitten? Sugar and spice and everything nice? Well, yes, and lucky for you, I’ve got all of that and more! I’m just as sweet as can be. I love to cuddle and LOVE to play. I have so much fun with my human friends in my foster home and I also adore dog friends as well!

Right now, I am testing positive for FIV, which is an immunodeficiency virus (which means I would have a more fragile immune system all my life and will need regular vet visits to ensure that I’m happy and healthy!) There is a VERY good chance that my test results are a false positive (it can be common for a kitten to test positive because of antibodies in their system from mom but not actually be FIV positive.) I will need to be retested for FIV when I am 6 months old (it is a very affordable, easy blood test!) to confirm whether I am positive or negative. And the folks at PawsCo can fill you in on lots more details as well!

Meet Nalie!

Meet Nalie!

Nalie
American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Female
5 years old
70 lbs.

Are you looking for a new shadow? If so, I’m your girl – I like to be around people. I’m not clingy, but I might follow you around for awhile and wait for you to pet me.

I like going on walks, but because a recent knee sugery, I can only go for about 30 minutes at a time – and no running just yet (but I’m on the road to recovery and should be ready for longer walks and hikes soon!) I also would prefer to be in a home where I’m the only pet, and I haven’t quite gotten the hang of making new dog friends out in the world. I haven’t met any kids yet either, but I like people, and they’re just small people, right?

I can take a little while to warm up, but once I do, you’ll see that I’m playful and love toys. Once my knee heals, I can’t wait to play and run. But I also am content to nap near you or hang out in my crate. I promise that once you meet me, you’ll see what a special pup I am.

Hello! My name is Simon! And I am just the sweetest little kitten looking for a wonderful forever family to love me always. I am just as sweet as can be and I love to cuddle up with my foster parents and I’m even friends with their gentle dog companion! I’d do best in a home where my family can give me a few days to build my confidence overall. Once I do, I’m just a goofy, happy cat! But I’m still learning to initially trust my new environment so that gentle, patient human will be so appreciated for me. I assure you, I will thank you with tons of purrs and snuggles (I have the BEST purr!)

Meet Flurry!

Meet Flurry!

Flurry
Heeler/Shepherd Mix
Female
10 months
34 lbs.

I’m an alert young lady who’s looking for a patient, calm Mom or Dad and at least one other pup that likes to play! I’m crate-trained and love the backyard!

I had a pretty rough start to life and as a result I’m still pretty scared in a lot of situations, like meeting new people, or new dogs…or pretty much anybody. But with the help of my foster parents, I’m getting more brave all the time, and getting better at my manners in the house. I’m getting to know my foster mom pretty well, so she’s getting to see my silly personality. I’ve even started playing tug-of-war with her! One of my favorite things to do is round up all the toys in the house and take them to my kennel with me.

And once I get to know a new dog, I love to play with him or her! My canine foster siblings are teaching me how to run and play in the backyard.

Since I’m still getting used to new things, a house with small kids is probably not the best place for me. With the help of a patient and understanding parent, I hope I can get so comfortable and brave that I’ll forget all about my past. I’m slowly learning to trust people and once I get a forever family, I’ll come out of my shell even more!

So if you’re ready to find out how rewarding it is to help a scared but hopeful pup learn to love life, please contact my  friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication/ to learn more about me!

Meet Matilda!

Meet Matilda!

Matilda
Domestic Short Hair
Female
1 year
6 lbs.

Abracatabra!

Matilda’s the name and I have magical, mystical kitten powers. I may be a little shy because of my rough start in life, but like a phoenix rising from the ashes, I’ve been able to come out from under my cape to spread love, cuddles, and purrs wherever I go.

Since magic is exhausting work, I can often be found napping. And if you can’t find me at all, it’s not because I decided to hide. No. No. It’s that I am practicing my disappearing tricks. Poof!

My magic has allowed me to be a young, independent artist, but truth be told, I wouldn’t mind going to a forever home that has other budding magicians too. I enjoy dog, cat, and human magicians alike.

If you need some enchantment in your life, look no further!  You can contact my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/catadoptionapplication/ to learn more!

I’m a sweet, happy girl (and absolutely gorgeous as you can tell from my photos!) and I just can’t wait to find a wonderful forever home to love me always. I’m a bit shy when I meet new people but, once I get to know you and feel comfortable, I’m a bundle of playful energy and cuddles. I adore the company of other dogs and I think I’d do best in a home with dog friends as I love to play and I really lean on canine companions to build my confidence overall.  Adults and older kids are pretty great, too!  I’m looking for that special someone who can help me build my confidence one adventure at a time.

Meet Winnie!

Meet Winnie!

Winnie
American Pit Bull Terrier mix
Female
2 years old
45 lbs.

Winnie here! People say I’m always smiling, and that is true! But who wouldn’t be smiling when they’re a PawsCo pup?! I’ve met the best people here at PawsCo, and they tell me that life is only getting better from here. If it’s possible, my smile’s gonna grow even wider when I find my forever family!

Let’s talk about things that make this girl smile!

  • Belly rubs? You bet!
  • Toys? The squeakier the better!
  • Walks? Love them as well as hikes and runs and any chance to be active!
  • Naps? Duh! I love to exercise, but I’ve got a couch potato side too.
  • Humans? Of course! (I can be a little shy when first meeting them, but that doesn’t last long!)
  • Dogs? Some pups make me nervous (especially the bigger ones!) so I would probably do best as the only dog in the house.
  • Squirrels? Pure evil. (I do my part my chasing them any chance I get!)

There’s just SO much to smile about these days, and I can’t wait to share my perma-grin with my forever family! And THEY will be smiling when they see what a good girl I am in the house! No accidents for this girl. I also love my crate and like to take naps there. Sure, I’m a youngin’ and still learning a few tricks of the trade (like not jumping up when I’m just so excited, and not to pull on the leash) but I’m a smart girl and am picking up on them quickly!

I’m so excited to be a PawsCo pup and even more excited to meet my forever family! So let’s make that happen, shall we? Email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/ on the PawsCo website today!

Meet Sammie!

Meet Sammie!

Sammie
Domestic Longhair
Male
17 years old

Well hello! I’m Sammie. Let me rub up against you to show you how much I like new people. There! Now we’re officially friends.

As you can tell, I’m a kindly old gentleman. I found myself homeless after living with an elderly woman for 17 years. When she passed away, no one could take me in, so I landed in a shelter. Now PawsCo is helping me find a home where I can enjoy my golden years.

You’ll find I’m social with people and cats. I even used to get along with a Labrador Retriever in one of my nine lives. Now my favorite thing to do is purr. I’m not one of those cats who ever feels the need to hide. I’m confident and just want a nice spot in a window to take a lovely cat nap. Sleeping is one of my other favorite pastimes, truth be told — though I find myself feeling like a kitten when someone cracks out the catnip.

I’m great in a cat carrier and with my covered litterbox. I adjust quickly to new situations and enjoy giving and receiving affection in between snoozes. My long hair was extremely matted when I got to the shelter, so they gave me a fresh hair cut. Unfortunately I’m having a little trouble growing it all back, but I don’t think it makes me any less adorable.

I’m just a really sweet old guy who would be ever so grateful to find a home to call my own. Will you please offer me a special place to nap? All you have to do is email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. I’m purring already!

Meet General Zod!

Meet General Zod!

General Zod
Domestic Long Hair
Male
3 years old
11 lbs.

Hello, General Zod here.

That sounds very official, doesn’t it? Well, I’m not nearly as serious as my name might indicate; in fact, I’m quite the affectionate little fella once I warm up to my human companions.

Sometimes it’s just about the facade and a name like General Zod allows me to hide behind a perceived supervillain persona and protect my heart from being broken. But, if I’m being honest, I’m really just dying to have my own forever family where my humans will love me unconditionally, play with me (lots of toys please) and take the time to let me get used to a new home and a new family. Okay, okay, just call me General Cuddle Buns, that’s what I really want!

One thing to mention is that I do have FIV, an immunodeficiency virus. I will very likely live a long and happy life but I might have a weaker immune system as I age. Therefore, I need to be an indoor cat and be on a nutritious diet to help me stay healthy. Also, for your information, FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs. Our adoption team is happy to fill you in on more details or answer any questions you may have!

Now, what is it that you’re looking for? A four-legged feline friend perhaps? Someone to be the General of your heart? Well, lucky you, I’m all of those things and so much more! If you’d like to set up a time to meet me, email my friends at PawsCo and fill out an adoption application on the PawsCo website.  I’m excited to meet you!

Meet Boo!

Meet Boo!

Boo
Cattle Dog/Boxer Mix
Male
2 years old
51 lbs.

Hey there! I’m Boo and I’d like to be your new best friend!

See, I’m one of those honest types. Like, super honest–almost like I don’t have a filter! For instance, I can’t play it cool–you’re probably noticing from my wagging tail that I’m eager to hang out! In fact, a snuggle on the couch would be just delightful!

I love playing outside with other dogs and then coming inside for a peaceful snooze. I’m pretty laid back and just want to chillax indoors. I’m house trained and know all of the classics like come, sit and stay. I’m totally trustworthy when it comes to leaving me home alone–no worries there!

I also love toys and I love going for fun hikes in the mountains! I have such a fun energy when I’m exploring new things!

I am working on my comfort with meeting new people right now as new people are a bit intimidating to me at the moment. I am totally content with the people I know and love but can feel defensive in general when I’m unsure of a new relationship. Therefore, I’d do best in a quieter home where I can just be happy with my humans and not need to meet tons of new people in general. And I also need to be in a home without children since I have shown to be nervous around young humans as well.

But you know what I’m not scared of? Lots of love and affection from an amazing family! I would make an incredibly loving companion for someone who understands my foibles and can help me feel safe. And I promise you that I will love you and treasure you every day forward if you are my forever person.

Will you please give me a new “leash” on life? All you have to do is email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Thank you so much!

Meet Bubbie!

Meet Bubbie!

Bubbie
Domestic Short Hair
Male
5 years old
9 lbs.

Have you guys heard of this new trend called Cat Memes? Apparently, they’re all the rage on the Interwebs. After seeing a few, I decided I was the inspiration for cat memes! You see, I love being pet, until I don’t like being pet anymore! Apparently, this kind of behavior is super funny to you humans. Well, that’s just me, Bubbie, being Bubbie!

When I was younger and looking for a family, I tried out a store cage environment but really didn’t like it. It was quite lonely as I waited for a forever family that never came. After that, I ended up with the nice folks at PawsCo and now I am in a loving foster home and demanding shredded cheese on the regular.

My humans say I am very friendly, cheese-motivated, string-motivated, and after all that motivation, I am sleep-motivated. I am free to roam the house, and to be honest, with all that free time, I just can’t help but nap! I should also note that I am superbly nonchalant with other cats in the house and we get along just fine. (I secretly like the companionship.)

I am definitely on the adoption market and would be so happy to meet you and find out if you think I would be the right gentleman for your home. I promise to keep you company in the kitchen, nap by your side to keep you warm, rub up against your legs, and provide you with an abundance of inspiration for your venture into cat memes!

Thanks for considering me as an addition to your family. You can apply to adopt me or email my friends at PawsCo to learn more!
