Hello! I’m Blarney, and I’m an old-fashioned gentleman with old world charm, class and manners.
I’m a calm, quiet canine who enjoys being near people. I’ll follow you around your home to make sure you know you have a loyal companion nearby. I don’t jump on furniture, chew up shoes or even bark. I have wonderful table manners and take treats gently and gratefully. I’m potty trained and a perfect gentleman who will go to the door or come find you if I need to go outside to do my business, snow or no snow!
Though I’m initially shy, I warm up quickly and am always ready for a belly rub, brushing and affectionate attention. If you work at home, I’m content to sleep most of the day right by your side. I do enjoy long walks and meeting other dogs, people, and children who also extend calm greetings. I’ve met many small children at a nearby park and do well with their excited, high energy level. Though I’m curious by nature, when I see a squirrel or rabbit, I don’t pull hard like other dogs might.
My ideal home would be with a family with a relaxed lifestyle. I also need an adopter who will give me medication for arthritis and understand that I don’t like to climb stairs. I’m also currently taking medication for a skin condition that my foster currently manages with ease. My foster says I’m a “true pleasure” to be around and will make a wonderful companion dog for years to come. Will you please offer me the loving home I deserve?
