Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment. But, many pets each year are relinquished to shelters because of financial hardships. At PawsCo, we’re dedicated to ensuring animals can stay in their forever homes, regardless of financial troubles.

Housing assistance

Denver Animal Shelter can provide temporary pet housing on a case-by-case basis. If you need assistance, you or your case worker may contact the Temporary Pet Housing Coordinator:

Denver Dumb Friends League offers Pet Assist which provides short-term care for those struggling with homelessness, domestic violence, or medical issues requiring long-term hospital stay.

Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pets provides assistance and support to active duty deploying service members, wounded warriors, veterans, and their beloved companion animals or assistance service canines.  

Until They’re Home is based in Northern Colorado, and offers solutions for pet owners difficult times, including temporary fostering and rehoming assistance. 

Food assistance
