Low-cost veterinary care
- Local humane societies and shelters often offer low-cost vaccinations, spay/neuter, and wellness exams — check their websites.

Pet food and supplies
- Pet food bank locator – Petfinder: Find local shelters that may offer pet food pantries.
- Colorado Pet Pantry: Holds many open-to-the-public pet food banks throughout the state.
- Contact your local food bank: many partner with animal welfare groups to distribute pet food.
- Check with churches, community centers, or mutual aid groups for emergency pet supply assistance.
Behavior and training support
- Humane Colorado behavior help line: Tips and phone support for common behavior problems. If you attempt to schedule a Behavior Helpline appointment and find that you require more urgent behavior support, please reach out to Humane Colorado at 751.5772and ask for an Emergency Behavior Helpline appointment.
