Good with dogs? Not Tested, but she seems frightened when she hears a neighbor’s dog barking loudly.
Good with cats? Katniss gets along with the friendly 10 month old male cat in her foster home. They follow each other through the home, relax together, and engage in a lot of play. She has a sweet personality and would be good with another friendly, gentle cat in her forever home.
Good with kids? Not Tested, but she hides from quick motions and loud noises, so older kids would be best.
Energy level: Katniss enjoys playing with other cats and with toys that she bat around and chase. She does get zoomies on occasion! Most of the time she is a polite little girl who enjoys relaxing, napping, and window seats.
Medical needs: Katniss is currently being treated for an infection in both ears. She is doing well and will not likely need more medication once her prescription is complete. There were some initial concerns that she might have food allergies but she’s been eating both allergy-friendly food and regular food and doing well.
Animal Characteristics: Katniss is just the sweetest little girl, a quiet friend who will follow you throughout your home and keep you company with her charm. She likes to be picked up and can be held for long periods, and may work up to cuddling. She is timid at first, but as her confidence and trust grow, she seeks affection and play from people and other cats. She is exceptionally curious and likes to quietly observe the humans in her home, as well as animals outside the windows. She will often seek a safe hiding spot when a new person enters her home. Katniss just wants a safe space filled with love and fun things to keep her curiosity satiated.
