About the PawsCo foster program
We are excited that you are considering being a loving foster family to an animal in need! As a foster parent, you will be incredibly important to the success of our rescue’s mission to save the lives of animals from underserved shelters and to find them amazing forever homes. We are in need of both long-term and short-term fosters for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens.

How to become a foster

  1. Complete the Foster Application. The PawsCo Volunteer Team will review your application and direct you through the volunteer onboarding process, which includes attending New Volunteer Orientation.

The approval process can take up to one month, based on your availability and the orientation schedule.
  2. Complete additional foster-specific training (provided by the Foster Team).
  3. Undergo a background check and homecheck, per Colorado law.
  4. Start fostering and saving lives!
