Name: Captain Skippity-Hop
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Sex: Spayed Female
Age: 8 years
Weight: 7 lbs
Good with dogs? Yes, she loves the big dog in her foster home, purrs and rubs all over the dog. She may adore any dog she meets as long as the dog does not chase her.
Good with cats? Yes, she loves other cats, and is very respectful of their boundaries. She was immediately excited to greet the other cats in her foster home, and has formed appropriate relationships with each cat. She might really love another cat in her home, even if they just co-exist.
Good with kids? She may be OK with older kids who can understand body language and boundaries. She would likely be nervous and overwhelmed by any young or loud children.
Energy level: Low to Medium. She spends a lot of her time sleeping and relaxing. When she decompresses from shyness in a new environment, she may be more active. Captain Skippy-Hop earned her name since she is missing the lower part of one hind leg.
Medical needs: Captain Skippity-Hop has hyperthyroidism and needs medication on a twice daily regular schedule that is easily mixed into her yummy wet food.
Animal Characteristics: Captain is an incredibly sweet, petite love bug. She is nervous and scared that someone is going to hurt her, so she is very shy, but once you earn her trust she absolutely adores being loved on and gives you the biggest purrs! She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is very vocal if she’s uncomfortable or unsure so it is easy to understand how she is feeling. She will need a quiet, patient home with one or two dedicated humans to engage frequently and lovingly with her so that she can build trust and blossom. She enjoys the comfort of other animals and really needs an animal friend or two in her forever home, since has so much love to give!
