Adopt the Darkness
Good with dogs? No, she is very afraid of dogs.
Good with cats? No, she is very afraid of other cats.
Good with kids? Jade is frightened by quick movements and loud noises. She will do best in a quiet, peaceful home.
Energy level: Medium. She does enjoy periods of play and zoomies but much of her time is spent in her window seat or napping.
Behavioral needs: Jade was terrorized by other animals in a previous home and is now frightened by the very sight of dogs and cats. She may also have been inappropriately disciplined and is afraid of spray bottles.
Animal Characteristics: This doe eyed void could be your new best friend. She is a bit fearful and very skeptical, but she has a bunch of love ready for you in all that blackness. Her quiet little squeaks encourage you to walk with her as she becomes your one and only. Make some room in your bed since she insists on snuggling at night! With her history of being bullied, Jade will likely always maintain some fear, but when it is minimized by quiet, pet-free spaces with patient people she does seek affection, treats, catnip and play. She wants to be a great pet cat but needs the right environment to unlock that.
