Meet Sprite!

Meet Sprite!

Sprite
Anatolian Shepherd Mix
Female
2 years old
86 lbs.

Have you been looking for a big dog with an equally big heart? Look no further—you found her! I’m a spritely young lady (see what I did there?) who has pretty much only one mission in life: to love you forever!

I’m still only two years old so we’ll be able to have tons of fun together. I love playing and being goofy, but my most favorite thing of all is to be by your side and cuddle. I’m confident on my own, but I love belonging to a family too–even if it’s just you and me!

What about the particulars, you ask? Well…this girl loves kiddos and I’m definitely a fan of cats. Dogs? Dogs are amazing! Dogs are my spirit animals! I’m also potty trained, great on a leash and am happy plopping down on my doggie bed at night (yep, your bed will still be “your” bed).

So if you are looking for a giant bundle of love to add to your family, make sure to send an email to adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/!

Meet Stitch!

Meet Stitch!

Stitch
Domestic Long Hair
Female
6 years old
18 lbs.

Meow! Hi friends of PawsCo. My name is Stich and I am fully aware of my cuteness. I am super friendly, confident, and chatty. Another way to describe these characteristics is…simply purrfect!

When I was little, I lived in a home with dogs and cats alike. I did well with those guys because I am a happy girl. I have a medium energy level, which means I won’t drive you, your pets, or your visitors crazy. I pride myself on being a pretty darn good housemate. My only request is that you feed me breakfast on time. My tummy gets hungry if you make me wait too long; I’m sure you understand.

I’m not a toy fanatic and I don’t feel the need to explore outside. My favorite part of life is when my people, or even new people, come into the house. I really, really love pets and being brushed and I know the more humans that are around, the more likely I am to have hands on me!

Well guys, that’s a little bit about me. To recap, I am perfectly cute, happy, and cool. I’m thinking you want to learn more about me! Thanks for considering me as an addition to your family. You can apply to adopt me on the PawsCo website or contact my friends at PawsCo to learn more!

Meet Pebbles!

Meet Pebbles!

Pebbles
Chihuahua Mix
Female
9 months old
5 lbs.

Hi! My name is Pebbles and I’m an itty bitty throwback pup — all the way from the Stone Age. I’m a little timid around my modern day surroundings, but with the right gentle hand and loving Bedrock home, no doubt I’ll blossom. Am I the Chihuahua mix you’ve been waiting for?

Remember The Flintstones? I’m too young to remember because I’m only 9 months old, after all! But I hear I resemble the Pebbles Flintstone both in stature and personality. I’m a pip squeak at five pounds and such a sweet girl.  I am loyal to my family and working to build up my confidence with new people.

I love parading my toys around, and all my prancing is guaranteed to make you laugh. My foster family says I have adjusted to my foster home so well and am eager to learn and be loved— how special is that? I’m even crate trained — my crate is like my cave, a safe place for me to rest and relax.

Currently, I’m living with two dogs in my foster home and I have so much fun with them! I enjoy their companionship and would do really well with another dog in my forever home too (please note that I’m a tad intimidated by really energetic bigger dogs so I will need a bit more time to warm up to that personality type!) I also am so gentle that my foster mom thinks I’d do just fine with a cat friend in the home too.

Are you the Fred or Wilma to my Pebbles? If you think so, fill out an adoption application on the PawsCo website and email my PawsCo friends to set-up a pre-historic meet and greet. I’ll be your forever baby girl!

Meet Elsa!

Meet Elsa!

Elsa
Bull Terrier
Female
4 years old
38 lbs.

Yes, you are correct…I am just about the most adorable girl you’ve ever seen! And I can assure you that my adorable personality and kind soul matches my beautiful exterior just perfectly. And I just can’t wait to find an amazing forever family to share my life with and bring so much joy to!

I’ve adjusted so well to being in my foster home and I continue to flourish each and every day! I’m still a bit shy and am learning about how to be more confident with new people. But once I’ve built that initial trust, I’m just a doll and am enjoying affection from my foster mom. I also do really well with my dog friend in my foster home! We co-exist really nicely with each other (I’m not super into constantly playing with another dog so I’d do best with a dog who is more easy going and can be a laid-back companion with me.) I have been a bit too curious towards cats when I’ve been introduced to them so I do need to be in a home without a cat friend.

What are some other adorable traits about me? Well…I’m really good at playing with my favorite “pie” toy-I love to carry it around wherever I go and it’s just the cutest! I think toys are like sprinkles of sugar on the donut of life! I also am potty trained and have adjusted just fine to being in a kennel when my foster mom is away during the day.

I do need to share one slightly embarrassing piece of information about myself (not something a lady like me wants to share at an initial meeting but I guess we do need to get to know each other pretty quickly to ensure we’re a great match!) I have something called incontinence, which basically means I sometimes can’t “hold” my pee in for longer periods of time (like throughout the night and on a longer day in the kennel.) I am on a medication that helps me control that a lot and I may need to be on that medicine long-term (the total cost for the medication is $100/month.) I also have some skin allergies that have improved with a some special baths and a healthy diet of grain-free novel protein food (you’ll still see my nose has signs of those allergies but it’s continuing to heal and I feel so much better!) The nice folks at PawsCo can fill you in on the rest of the details about my medical needs but I do need a forever family who is understanding and patient with me with these needs.

So if you think that you’re ready for a completely devoted new friend, and are able to help me get more and more comfortable with the good life, then please send an email to adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. I can’t wait to meet you!

Meet Lilly!

Meet Lilly!

Lilly
Calico, Domestic Short Hair
Female
1 year old
6.4 lbs.

So, I was having a chat with myself just yesterday and I asked myself, “Lilly, what would make you the happiest cat ever?” The more I thought about it, the more I decided to tell myself how much I would just love to be part of a cute little family. You know, one with maybe another cat or a calm dog. Maybe one with a couple of older kids that would pet me and love me and never chase me. Ooh! One with a kind and gentle soul that would look into my beautiful eyes and know, just know instantaneously, how much of a kind and gentle soul I am, too.

Then I asked myself, “But Lilly, that’s a pretty tall order! Are you sure you are worthy of such an awesome family?” Which was really a pretty silly question for such a confident cat as I am, because absolutely I am worthy of such an awesome family! I think I am the total cat package: friendly, funny, sweet, polite, and, might I add…beautiful! Okay, so maybe I’m a little shy at first, but I think that’s just part of my charm. I warm up super quickly and I am always nice to anyone who is nice to me.

I almost started to ask myself how I thought I could ever find such a great place to call home, but then I remembered that I am a PawsCo cat! PawsCo is going to hook me up! There is nothing in my way but an easy-peasy adoption application and a quick email to my PawsCo friends!

Meet Crush!

Meet Crush!

Crush
American Pit Bull Terrier mix
Female
2 years old
39 lbs.

Hey there! I’m Crush and I’m a happy lady!

I am proud to be female and I’m not afraid to strut my stuff–I love to go on walks outside! I’m food motivated, so I’m a fast learner. I’m potty trained, sit and lie down when asked, and learned on my own the joy of giving kisses.

I’m sweet and loving with adults and kids alike! My one stipulation is I’d want to be the only female dog in the home. That way I can keep all the boys in line myself! I guess I’m a bit of a flirt with the fellas and love to wrestle and play, though I can get protective of my treats so hopefully the guys will know how to respect a woman.

I enjoy a long walk or a quick run, but my favorite thing to do is cuddle. Sure, I have bursts of energy, but only in spurts. I’m not destructive when left alone or anything like that. The most popular word to describe me with my PawsCo friends is “awesome”!

I guess the only other thing you need to know about me is that I’m a huge believer in the power of belly rubs and snuggling in bed. So if you could use an awesome lady in your life, please email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. We will have so much fun together!

Meet Kitty!

Meet Kitty!

Kitty
Domestic Long Hair
Female
14 years old
6 lbs.

My name is Miss Kitty and all you really need to know about me is that I LOVE LAPS. I love everybody and anybody that has a lap. I love laps of all shapes and sizes. Big laps, little laps, warm laps…a Facebooking lap too busy to pet me, or a lap with all the time in the world. You might be thinking that I’m prone to exaggeration and that certainly I must like to do more than spend all day in the comfort of a lap, but you’d be mistaken. If you lose your lap, I can definitely help you find it. It’s not hard to do really, I’ll just follow you around the house while you look for it, offering plaintive meows of encouragement, until eventually you sit down and then, viola! There it is – and there I’ll be!

I might need a little help getting into your lap, I mean, I am 14 years old, but once I’m there, man, I’m there to stay. If I learned one thing from my stretch in the shelter, it’s that a lap should never be taken for granted again. They are a thing of beauty and worthy of the utmost appreciation! Just ignore that face I make when you decide to get up, I really don’t mean anything by it. It’s just, well, a lap truly is my most favorite thing in the whole world. If laps were cupcakes, I’d be the World’s Fattest Cat!

As it stands though, I probably should eat a few dozen cupcakes. My undeserved and unwarranted time at the shelter really took a toll on me, what with the lack of laps and all, but I fully intend to regain my pleasingly plump figure as soon as possible. These dang teeth of mine, or lack of a few to be exact, are slowing things down a little (wet cat food only, please!) but I’m determined.

But back to laps, it should probably also be said that if I’m not sleeping on your lap, I’m gonna want to be sleeping in your bed. Like, right next to you. Like, under-the-covers-snuggle next to you. I hope you won’t mind. I know I won’t! I also don’t mind living with other cats provided there are enough laps to go around. So, please give me a call! A lap is a terrible thing to waste! The best way to reach me is via email. While you’re at it, tell me a bit about yourself, too! Head over to the PawsCo website and fill out an adoption application. I can’t wait to meet you!

Meet Sally!

Meet Sally!

Sally
Black Lab mix
Female
4 years old
53 lbs.

Hi, I’m Sally! I haven’t had the easiest life, but all that is behind me now that I’m in a foster home. My first owners weren’t very nice to me; despite that, I absolutely love humans and love receiving affection – I’m just about the sweetest girl you’ll meet. I hope you love snuggling, because I am a snuggle expert extraordinaire! I even know how the, “spooning” game works – if you’re looking for a little spoon, then I’m the pup for you.

I’m a fairly low-key kind of pup. I enjoy hanging out and relaxing at home, but when my foster family grabs my leash, boy do I get excited! Walks are one of my favorite activities (next to snuggling, of course!) Did I mention that I’ve got great manners, too? I’m very good on-leash (except when an enticing scent catches my nose!), I can come when my name is called, and I’m a pro at “sit.” I’m crate-trained too, although I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of my crate – I much prefer sleeping on the bed with my foster family! And don’t worry – I’m also pretty trustworthy if left alone at home.

I would do best in a calm home with a loving adult or two – I bond to my humans quickly and would love to be the center of someone’s life! I can be a little picky about my canine friends and I’m not a fan of cats, so I’d prefer to be the only pet in my new home (after my rough start in life, I’m sure you can understand!)

I adore people but might take a little while to build up trust with new humans. I’m a sensitive soul and can be a little timid, but I always come out of my shell and truly enjoy finding new people to share my love with.

So what do you think? Ready to meet me and see if we have that special connection I’ve been waiting for? All you have to do is fill out an adoption application or email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org. I’ll be waiting for you!

Meet Claire!

Meet Claire!

Claire
Domestic shorthair
Female
14 years old
9 lbs.

What’s today’s date? What! It’s 2017 already?

Golly-gee-willikers, time passes by so quickly. I cannot believe I’m already a senior citizen—or so the label on my bag of food tells me. Luckily for me, I still have lots of love to give to an amazing forever family. I’ve recently been staying with a foster family and they have been absolutely delightful, but I’m ready to find my senior feline palace—or forever home if you prefer to call it.

You know what the best part of adopting a senior animal is? All the sage advice and stories you’ll get to hear. Like that one time my friend Gladys got a new bag of catnip for Christmas and we went out to tease the dogs next door…maybe you had to be there to think it’s funny. Anyways, I have lots of valuable worldly advice too; like never paw at a yellow and black striped flying bug, or never swallow a grasshopper whole because they’ll keep hopping in your tummy. That’s only the tip of my advice iceberg—or adviceberg, as I like to call it.

I am also a big fan of other cat friends and would also do well with a dog friend (as long as he is calm and polite with having a feline buddy!) So a home where I can have other furry friends is a great match for me but I also would do just fine as the solo animal in the home as well.

One thing to note is that I do need medication to help with my hyperthyroidism. The kind folks at PawsCo can fill you in on the details!

If you’re interested in hearing more of my stories and advice—like how to maintain your balance while swatting inanimate objects—then please email my friends from PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/catadoptionapplication/.

Meet Dakota!

Meet Dakota!

Dakota
German Shepherd
Female
4 years old
73 pounds

Hi there! I’m Dakota and I’m hoping you’ll be my best friend!

Sorry, did I come on too strong? This whole find-your-match thing is tricky! Potential partners can be intimidated because I have beauty and brains. I started as a stray and got pretty keyed up when I was forced to stay in a stressful shelter environment, but now I am so happy to be in the PawsCo foster system getting ready for the perfect forever home! So yes, I’m laying my cards on the table: I’m looking for true love.

I know, I know, I’m probably not playing by “The Rules” admitting that I want to find a home that offers stability, a routine, and love. I should flirt and play hard to get and not answer your calls, but that’s not my style! I’m friendly to people and other dogs because I want to be accepted so badly! I’d be a great pet because I’m not super hyper–I have that nice medium energy. A little tug of war or play with a ball is heaven!

Sure, I have some quirks. I don’t understand why people stare at the box they call television, so I try to stare back to see what all the fuss is about (yes, I’m told it’s cute). Cats make me nervous. Maybe it’s because they’re so coy, which I know nothing about. I prefer to snuggle in close for affection or follow people around like the proud dog that I am. I know there’s a reason why canines are called man’s best friend!

If you’re looking for loyalty and love, please email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. We will be so happy together!
