Meet Malibu!

Meet Malibu!

Malibu

Labrador Mix

Female

6 years old

100 lbs.

Hey guys, how’s it going today? I’m Malibu and I’m about as chill as the surfers you find in that California city.

I was surrendered by my previous owners who were really generous with food. I mean REALLY generous. Too generous. And as a result, I have a bit of a weight problem. My foster mom is working on getting my weight under control with special food and short walks.

But in the meantime, the extra weight means I am the calmest, sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. I spend most of my time chilling on my dog bed and watching the world go by. Getting scratches and cuddles is the best, and I get along with everybody.

So if you’re the kind of person who appreciates inner beauty and has the patience to help me get back to a more comfortable weight, email my friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and fill out this adoption application: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application.

Meet Flurry!

Meet Flurry!

Flurry

Husky/Shepherd Mix

Female

1.5 yrs

40 lbs.

Hello, there! My name is Flurry and I am just the most beautiful, sweetest girl who can’t wait to find her forever home!

I have stolen the hearts of my foster parents and they adore my happy, gentle personality. My absolute favorite thing is playing with other dog friends! I just light up when I’m around other dogs and I would do best in a home with at least one other dog friend to play with me and keep me company. I’ve also had the chance to hang out with a cat friend and I did great! But, in general, another dog in the home is still an important factor for me as I really lean on another dog for confidence-building and fun companionship.

I am having so much fun with my foster family and they are teaching me all about being a completely loved pup. I am still really shy and have some anxiety when meeting new people (especially men) and I can take quite some time to feel comfortable in a new situation, so I need a family who can be patient and loving with me and help me continue to build my confidence. I blossom more and more each day with my foster mom and dad and they are so proud of me for all the brave steps I take to becoming a more confident dog. And I can’t wait to continue to flourish in a loving forever home!

So… do you think you have room in your heart for one sweet, gentle, and goofy pup? If so, please contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application/ to learn more about me!

Meet Aleckite!

Meet Aleckite!

Grey Tabby Domestic Short Hair

Male

14 years old

14 lbs.

Hi there! My name is Aleckite, but you can call me Al for short. I love people and I’m looking for the purrrfect family to share the rest of my life with.

What can I say about myself? People like to describe me as an easy-going, laid-back, mellow kind of guy. I love meeting new people and exploring new places. Since I’ve got a few years under my belt, I’d like to think I’ve seen a bit of everything and feel pretty confident that the world is a good place. Other cats? Love ‘em! Dogs? Sure, no problem! Oh, and did I mention how much I love people of all ages?

My favorite way to spend the day is snuggled up next to my people. I’ll keep your spot on the couch warm, and I promise to greet you at the door when you get home to help you get settled in. I definitely don’t mind listening to your day and letting you know I care by putting a paw on your lap. I just love to be close to my family and can’t wait to show you the all the best ways to cuddle up together.

I should mention that when the good people of PawsCo rescued me, I was in pretty rough condition. One of my eyes was in bad shape, and the doctors knew it was in my best interest to remove it altogether. I’m doing just fine now, and even while I was recovering, I stayed my happy self. I also have been diagnosed with diabetes, which means I need to have my glucose tested each day and receive insulin if my levels are high. This can all be done in the comfort of home and PawsCo can give you all the details about the process. We hope that as I get healthier and healthier that my diabetes will go away! But that’s not something that we can predict quite yet.

If you’re ready to find the love of your life, email my PawsCo friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application today!

Meet Xena, Warrior Princess!

Meet Xena, Warrior Princess!

Xena Warrior Princess

Domestic Short Hair

Female

8 months old
7 lbs. (and growing!)

I am XENA – WARRIOR PRINCESS! I am here to conquer my enemies and prove I am a warrior of the people! I may be small but I am mighty!

Whew…I got a little carried away there. Let me properly introduce myself! My name is Xena and I’m currently looking for forever family so I can begin my journey as a warrior fighting for the greater good. Before the awesome people of PawsCo took me in I was a stray; alone in the world. In my past life I had to learn how to take care of myself but now I’ve been given the opportunity to learn about some of the FUN things in life!

Understandably, it takes me a little bit to warm up to new people. I’m just nervous you might be an evil warlord or something. I never bite or scratch and once I learn I can trust you I’m learning how much I kinda totally love being loved ON. I feel much more comfortable with other kitty friends. I’d absolutely love a cat sibling but I’ve also warmed up to a few mellow pups in the past! Life is just better with friends after all.

I’ve got the heart of warrior but I need my group of allies to reach my full potential!  If you think you may be up for the task then reach out to my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application here https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication.

Meet Holly!

Meet Holly!

Holly

Domestic Short Hair

Female

5 years old

9 lbs.

I am a typical cat.

Of course, by typical cat, I mean super friendly, super lovable, very appreciative and especially well-socialized.

And, of course, by typical cat, I mean super sweet, sometimes playful, sometimes lazy and always especially cute!

Yup.  I’m just a typical cat looking for a typical home.

By typical home, of course, I mean one with someone to love me forever, play with me often, cuddle with me daily and never let me go.

One thing to mention is that I have FIV, an immunodeficiency virus. I will very likely live a long and happy life but I may have a weaker immune system as I age. Therefore, I need to be an indoor cat and be fed a nutritious diet to help me stay healthy. Also, for your information, FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs. My PawsCo friends can fill you in on more details and answer any questions you have!

The only thing left is the typical paperwork but that’s easy! And by that I mean, just a quick email to adopt@pawscoadoptions.org will get the ol’ ball of yarn rolling! Or you can fill out an application here: https://pawsco.org/adoptions/catadoptionapplication/

Meet Smokey!

Meet Smokey!

Smokey

Grey Domestic Short Hair

Female

6 years old
10 lbs.

Hi, my name is Smokey! Ever heard of the phrase “good things take time”? I’m kind of adopting that as my life motto at the moment. I’m still feeling a little shy when I meet new people, but I’m just taking my time to find the right forever family to open up with.

Until recently, I lived with my family since I was a kitten. I’m still getting adjusted to the change, but I just know there’s another family out there for me to help make complete! In my previous life, I grew up with other cats and dogs, so I’m not afraid of other furry family members. Sometimes loud noises startle me, but I’m used to a busy household and promise eventually I’ll learn which sounds are “normal” for my family!

Once I get settled in, I’m a pretty mellow family member. I don’t need a ton of play time or activities to keep me busy. Just point me in the direction of a sunny snooze spot and I’ll keep myself entertained! I’m also interested in some cuddles, but I just want that mutual trust before I can unleash my true love potential. Don’t get me wrong; I’m very interested in making new friends. When new people come over, I like to stay nearby and tell them “meow” in welcome. Let’s start with some head pets and work our way up!

If you’re looking for that missing puzzle piece to complete your heart, email PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application today and let’s see if I’m the purrrfect fit!
