Anna Ewing, Board President

Anna is Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Director of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development (since 2015); formerly she enjoyed a dynamic corporate finance career, most recently as CFO of Vodafone Americas and earlier in strategic roles with Intrawest, the Omnicom Group, and Price Waterhouse LLP.  Anna serves on several business advisory and non-profit boards including PawsCo, and is actively engaged in our civic and business communities through the Denver Metro Chamber & Leadership Foundation, the Quarterly Forum, and her membership in multiple associations and organizations. Anna holds a BBA from Baylor University and CPA and CGMA licenses. A fourth generation Colorado native, she’s a travel and adventure enthusiast (often with rescue pup Magnum!).

 

Andy Frohardt, Board Secretary 

Andy is the Assistant Attorney General representing the Colorado Department of Transportation. Primary practice areas include eminent domain, outdoor advertising, real estate, and general transactional law. He practices law in a professional, ethical, and non-adversarial manner, balancing the interests of the public with the important rights of individual citizens.

 

Brett Anderson

Vice President for University Advancement Brett Anderson is a 1987 alumnus of Colorado State University. He returned to his alma mater after a successful business career at global business and technology company Accenture. Anderson was the global managing partner of Accenture’s Communications and High Tech Customer Relationship Management practice and former managing partner of the Denver office of Accenture. He joined Accenture in 1987 and was named a partner in 1999 and retired from Accenture in 2008. While at Accenture, he had oversight for more than 5,000 people and $2 billion in operations. Among his responsibilities were profit and loss for the division, ensuring the growth and development of the global CHT CRM practice and professionals, developing and overseeing relationships with strategic ventures and alliances, and serving as an advisory senior executive to several global strategic accounts and C-level executives.

Anderson is a native of Colorado growing up in Fort Collins and now lives in Littleton, Colorado.  He and his wife Dawn enjoy skiing, golfing, running and traveling.

 

Deb Knobelman, Board Treasurer 

Deb is an experienced financial and business management executive.  She is the Founding Partner of Waverly BioConsulting, where she works with small public and private healthcare organizations to support them through unique financial and/or business challenges, often acting as interim Chief Financial Officer or Chief Business Officer. Prior to Waverly BioConsulting, Deb worked at Pfizer, where she held a variety of positions, most recently Director of Strategy and Analytics for Pfizer’s Primary Care product portfolio. Earlier in her career, Deb spent seven years on Wall Street as an Equity Research Analyst, following the Specialty Pharmaceuticals sector at several investment banks, including Piper Jaffray and JPMorgan. Deb earned a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Pennsylvania, and received an AB with Distinction in Chemistry from Duke University.  In her spare time, she enjoys snowshoeing or hiking with her dog Rosie, who is 90 pounds of pure enthusiasm, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

 

Liz Cahill

As the Chief Marketing Officer for the State of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Liz Cahill is responsible for leading a strategic business marketing and communication program, underpinning all of the activities of the Office across the State.  

Prior to joining the State of Colorado’s team in 2015, Liz served as the vice president of marketing and communications for Lee Jeans, playing an integral role in the strategic growth of the Lee brand in the U.S.  

Aside from increasing consumer awareness and demand, Cahill was also instrumental in the success of Lee National Denim Day, an award-winning cause marketing campaign that raises awareness and funds the fight against breast cancer. After thirteen years, Lee National Denim Day has now raised nearly $100 million and is one of the largest single-day fundraiser for breast cancer in the world.
